| About Streano/Havens |
| Vince Streano has been taking pictures since the age of eight. That's when his parents gave him a Brownie Hawkeye camera and told him to go outside and take pictures to keep from getting underfoot. Vince honed his photo skills working his way through high school and college with part time photography jobs with local newspapers. Immediately after graduating with a photojournalsim degree from San Jose State University, Vince was hired as a staff photographer by the Los Angeles Times. After five and a half years with the newspaper, Vince left to begin a freelancing career. He and his partner Carol Havens intially did editorial assignments for magazines such as Sports Illustrated, Smithsonian and National Geographic. They ultimately decided to turn their editorial focus to the corporate world and specialize in what Vince loved most, photographing large engineering projects. They have specialized in the engineering, transportation and construction sector now for twenty years. Their clients include some of the largest engineering firms in the country including URS Corporation, Parsons, HNTB, HDR, TY Lin, and Walker Parking. |
