Photography for me has been a way to tell stories. Whether it is how a hummingbird feeds its young, or how the Lakota Indians on the Pine Ridge Reservation survive in some of the harshest climates in this country, photography gives me the opportunity to tell my story to others. Many of my pictures are born from my own curiosity. I might read about something in the newspaper, and then explore the subject with my camera.
